About the Marina

Hanleys Marina
Boats at marina

Hanley's Marina is a private marina located in Ballyleague, Co. Roscommon. The marina is a local family run business, established in 2005, and has since grown to now cater for up to 120 vessels.

As the only private marina in the locality Hanley's Marina is ideally located to cater for boat owners who want a safe, secure base from which to explore Lough Ree and it's environs. From Ballyleague, boats can head South, across the lake, towards Athlone. This provides access to one of the largest lakes in the country and it's many islands, without the need to navigate any locks or lift bridges. Alternatively, to the North, the river narrows and a leisurely cruise can be enjoyed through Tarmonbarry, Rooskey and Carrick-On-Shannon, all the way to Lough Key and beyond.

The marina is located in the middle of the town so you can easily walk to the nearby shops and pubs to stock up on essentials. We can also provide information on local taxi's and other facilities in the town and surrounding area to ensure you make the most of your time with us. You can read more information about Ballyleague (and Lanesborough) below.

At Hanley's Marina we endeavour to provide boat owners with the security they require to feel that their boats are safe at all times. Live streaming CCTV cameras are installed throughout, our steel entrance gates are accessed by personal fob only, and each service pillar comes with a padlock for the berth holders personal use. The marina is well lit at all times and has ample free parking adjacent to the walkways.

We offer a number of bespoke services including hardstanding facilities and repairs. We have staff on site throughout the day Monday to Friday, and marina management can be contacted 24/7. The Services sections of this site provides details of a selection of the services available at the marina.
